Reuben’s Brews Triple Crush

What the brewers say

"Thickly hopped and juicy, with delicate balance for a big IPA."

What our panel thought

"Dank aroma, earthy, with strong citrus notes of grapefruit, mandarin—and jammy apricot, as it warms. Bitterness wallops taste buds, then nuances emerge: pithy, warming, mixing dank citrus with tropical stone-fruit jam. Drinks smoothly, without sticky heft."

What our editors thought

"Sweet, sweaty, tropical nose—orange, papaya, locker room. The sip is bold and big, with strong citrus, tropical fruit, round bitterness. Soft malt obscures the alcohol. It feels strange to describe a triple IPA as drinkable. Exquisite balance."

Reuben's Brews - The Taproom Triple Crush

“Ruby Red grapefruit, white grape, candy sugar, floral aromas lead to a sweeter-than-expected sipper. Flavors of candied orange, lightly spiced marmalade.”

WeldWerks Double Guava Milkshake

Deep orange color with chunks. Distinctive guava nose with vanilla. Balanced mouthfeel between the lactose and fruit while allowing the base beer to show itself. Sweet by design, but restrained.

2nd Shift Brewing Art of Neurosis

Dominant citrus up front—orange, lemon—with piney, grassy notes. Moderately sweet, lightly toasty malt; some green onion/garlic hop flavors, with peppery spice, orange-citrus, light grass—and moderately strong, bracing bitterness. Overall, fairly malty. Classic West Coast–style hop profile.
