If you’ve been following our coverage over the past few years, you may have correctly deduced that our editors at Craft Beer & Brewing are enthusiasts of cold IPA. That “wester than West Coast” antithesis of hazy IPA came along right when we felt like we needed it; we named Wayfinder Relapse (later redubbed Original Cold IPA) one of our Best 20 Beers in 2020, and we’ve been along for the ride with this style ever since.

Here, he shares this recipe he created with partner Lisa Allen at Heater Allen in McMinnville, Oregon, as part of their Gold Dot line of beers. “A warning for its sneaky strength,” Davey says. “This cold IPA is an instant classic.”
