What our panel thought

Aroma: “The first impression is like sunscreen, with light coconut and banana aromas. Some nice tartness comes out in the nose, as well as some notes of lemon and mango. A bit of wheat-like sweetness and very slight floral notes.”

Flavor: “Moderately tart up front, with a touch of citrus sweetness. Light, tart sweetness in the middle that transitions into more prominent sour toward the finish and is medium lasting. The tartness is refreshing but the body lacks some sweetness to hold this tartness up. Slightly salted, crisp, with a refreshing finish. The acidity stays through the finish.”

Overall: “Reminiscent of a day at the beach with the sunscreen notes over the salt, but the crisp and refreshing tartness and fruit pull through quickly. Strong salted lemon at first, and with more sips some of the other fruit-like notes come through. It’s acidic for a Gose, and if you like tartness, this is the beer for you.”
