“Tart raspberry jam meets saline sparkling water. Acidity sticks to the sides of my mouth, hanging on for dear life. Lactose is subtle, rounding out the mouthfeel and what otherwise might be an overly aggressive acidity. Can easily polish a pint.”

TRVE Brewing Co. Meditation is the Practice of Death

Rich fruit character, though not distinctly cherry; also Brett, wood, and earth. Lack of head suggests wine. Oak character adds pleasant light spiciness, with fruit fermentation esters; tart, with berry notes. Subtle yet complex.

Decadent Creamery Blackberry Sorbet Gose

“Dark pink pour with an off-pink head. Tart, fresh aroma—ripe blackberries atop blackberry jam with a doughy malt backbone. The fruit overshadows the base beer but delivers on a full flavor explosion. Sweet fruit finish with a touch of astringency and nice level of acidity. Balanced, yet leaning sweet. Simple and well-made.”

Side Project Raspberry Biere du Pays

Aroma: “Straight-up raspberry jam. There’s an underlying lemon and orange citrus character. Slight barnyard funk. Leather. Light clean malt background. Fruit esters complement actual fruit aromas.” Flavor: “Tart, funky raspberries! Nice initial fruit followed by a sharp sour finish. Dry finish with the lingering acidity as it slowly fades.” Overall: “Very raspberry and very sour. Dry and funky. Raspberries meet mouth-puckering cherry pie.”
