Alvarado Street Mai Tai P. A.

What the brewers say

A drier ‘tropical’ IPA. Light on bitterness, heavy on hops aroma (from100 percent Mosaic hops), American 2-row malt. Notes of passion fruit, mango, and lychee.

What our panel thought

Muted aromas of tropical fruit. Very tropical and bright flavors fill the mouth with rushes of pineapple, pas-sion fruit, and kiwi. Low-to-medium bitterness throughout with a soft finish showcasing the hops flavors. Al-most like a clear NEIPA.

What our editors thought

Bold tropical fruit notes evoke passion fruit and mango with deeper layers of musk, coconut husk, and al-mond. The sip hits quickly with a tight but polished bitterness that softens into more lingering citrus and bit-ter orange peel. A thoroughly new-school approach to West Coast IPA.

Dust Bowl Brewing Co Tomorrow's Clear

“Citrus notes of lemon, orange, and tangerine meld with some fresh tropical notes of passion fruit and pineapple to create a nose that comes across bright and lively. Juicy fruit flavor with watermelon juice, citrus, and berry, but the bigger body doesn’t allow them to shine.”

Green Cheek Beer Company False Memories

“Lively nose of lemongrass, lemon balm, orange peel, tangerine, pine, light floral. Flavor follows nose, but with a softer approach that gives way to a balanced bitterness that carries into the finish.”

Sun King Brewing Osiris Pale Ale

Clear and golden color to go with clean pilsner-like aroma: cracker malt and Noble-hop spice. Interesting flavor: floral, Noble, and a sweet, creamy taste. Clean, easy-drinking. Symbiotic bitterness, hop flavor, and malt profile. Subtle, pleasant, elegant.
