Sketchbook Brewing Day Game

What the brewers say

"Brewed with Mosaic hops, for bright pineapple and grapefruit flavors, and just a touch of honey."

What our panel thought

"Punchy citrus-tropical aroma—mango, blood orange, pineapple, lemon. Flavor leans sweet, with tangy, medium bitterness and low piney-hop character. Finishes fairly dry and clean; just a light rubbery note. Bright, pleasant, drinkable, if somewhat one-dimensional."

What our editors thought

"Bright pineapple on the nose, a touch of musty earth; honey and herbal hops collide. The sip toys with full-blown sweet fruit before herbal bitterness pulls it back for an indecisive finish."

Jackie O's Brewery Close But Far

“Nose like a candy necklace or SweetTarts—fruity, sure, but also sugary and chalky. The flavor brings the juice—Hawaiian Punch and grapefruit—with a light acidity that helps to push the juicy quality alongside fair sweetness and soft bitterness. Finishes just off-dry.”

Uhl’s Brewing Co Hop Down

“Bright citrus all the way: lemon, naval orange. Toasty malt adds a counterpoint to the citrusy flavors. Hazy and full bodied. Medium-low bitterness. Semidry finish with a relatively short hoppy aftertaste. Low carbonic bite.”

Deep Ellum Brewing Co Deep Winter

Aroma of wood, spice, nuts, milk chocolate, with vanilla notes complementing coffee; lightly toasted malt background and white raspberry. Evident coffee in the flavor, dominating the profile, over lightly sweet bread. Medium-rich body, finishing dry enough. Pleasant coffee pale ale.
