Three Weavers Hops Need Friends

What the brewers say

"Aggressive yet generously balanced upfront bitterness; bright grapefruit and lemon-rind finish."

What our panel thought

"Sweet, soft, elegant aroma: floral lemon, juicy pineapple, low caramel. Flavor is sweet up front, moderately bitter; piney flavor, light caramel. Clean, rounded finish. Light-tasting IPA that tiptoes and whispers. Appealing and drinkable."

What our editors thought

"Classic orange-pine nose gets a creamy twist; soft vanilla smoothie notes. The sip mashes that with old-school West Coast vibes—softer, sweeter elements balanced by ragged herbal bitterness. Its feet in both worlds, it’s both familiar and new."

New Belgium Brewing Liquid Paradise IPA

Solid orange, pineapple, grapefruit aromas, with dank, spicy pine, bread crust. Mild, bready sweetness throughout, with firm bitterness; flavors of pineapple, grapefruit peel, peppery spice. Slight chalky minerality; finishes mostly dry and clean, hops and sweetness lingering. Nice blend of old and new.

Three Weavers Even Sassier

Ripe strawberry up front; pineapple, lemon, bread crust. Like diner-style Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Moderate bready sweetness, pie-crust malt. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. A bit on the sweet side, but it works.

American Solera Caleb’s Killer Hard Strawberry Lemonade

Faint pink color with very good clarity. Smells like a glass of lemonade with a light floral note and hints of strawberry juice. In the flavor, light strawberry hits up front with tart, fresh-squeezed lemonade in the finish. Dry, sparkling, easy drinking. Very enjoyable.
