Now, Cleveland Brew Shop’s Paul Benner is realizing his vision to create a homebrewing incubator under the same roof with a microbrewery and taproom. The 5,000-square-foot Platform Beer Co. is being built out in a two-story brick building in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood.
The homebrew incubator will include homebrewing consultation through a free 12-week education program. During the program, homebrewers will be able to use Platform’s commercial space for brewing while taking lessons on business plan formulation, marketing, branding, and state and federal regulations. In addition, each student will have the opportunity to test market three brews to Platform’s customers. Benner says students will have the tools to start their own brewery when they complete the course.
