What it is: The Ruck is a multi-floor bar that has retained all the charm from its decidedly dive days but with a tap list and knowledgeable staff that will get even the most jaded craft drinkers excited to come back time and time again. Proof that good beer can appeal to anyone, on any given night you’ll catch long-time residents mixing with rugby players, professors, and the beer faithful, giving Untappd a solid workout.

Why it’s great: Working with breweries and distributors, The Ruck regularly brings in beers that would be tough to find anywhere else in the area. It also has an amazing kitchen that turns out top-notch versions of traditional bar food (I’m partial to the cheese fries) but can also switch gears and create expertly paired beer-pairing dinners that are among the finest in the nation. Memories are made here.
