Allusion Brewing Talk of Many Things

What the brewers say

"Oyster Stout Brewed with live Rochambeau Oysters from the Chesapeake Bay. Balanced body with a savory, clean finish."

What our panel thought

"Beach-washed, toasted log. A balance of dark and milk chocolates mingle in the aroma with hints of coffee. Milk chocolate, light roasty qualities in the aroma. A slight wateriness, perhaps in keeping with the ocean theme. Light chocolate, coffee shop wafts, light-bodied roastiness. Rich. salted, dark chocolate flavors dominate the flavor. Orange citrusy hop flavors complement the chocolate and saltiness. This stout is wearing floaties because it's learning to swim. Good summertime complement to a beachfront bonfire-roasted marshmallow."

What our editors thought

"Simple aroma with light and sweet milk chocolate, and just a touch of roasted coffee. Garnet edges in the glass give away its lightness. Tight acidity in the sip with a nice balance of baking spice, baker's chocolate, and subtle citrus tones."
