What the brewers say

“Light-bodied and refreshing, with subtle sweetness from flaked maíz and a hint of citrus from Sorachi Ace hops.”

What our panel thought

“Cracker and pilsner malt greet the first sniff; also skunky, and bright malt sweetness jumps out. Taste indicates warming alcohol, like imperial lager. Good hop bitterness in the middle, rounding out in the finish. Huge mouthfeel, sweetness.”

What our editors thought

“Chunky nose; touch of corn sweetness and slight oxidation leads into a sip that’s round, weighty, with strong alcohol presence bordering on malt liquor. Not unpleasant. Perhaps miscategorized.”
