What the brewers say

“A crisp German ale lagered for four weeks before serving.”

What our panel thought

“Aroma balances a slightly grainy malt with earthy hops and a touch of pear ester. Smells of waxy apples and caramel-drizzled bonbons. A grainy sweetness up front, but the finish is clean and clear, with a delicate bitterness.”

What our editors thought

“Strong mineral hop note in the aroma with softer floral touches, and a bit of bread crust, with just a hint of pome fruit. Rather intense mineral and light citrus bitterness in the sip hits fast and dissipates with a very pilsner-like rhythm.”
