What the brewers say

“Imperial milk stout aged in bourbon, American whiskey, and Nocino barrels.”

What our panel thought

“Rich, deep roast-forward aroma complements assertive oak and whiskey aromas. Deep chocolate, espresso with notes of fig, light raisin. Light espresso. Finish is boozy, but extremely smooth. Very rich, chewy, creamy all at once.”

What our editors thought

“Sharper umami note on the nose with wet wood. The sip layers very light smoke with an almost-maple boozy bourbon sweetness, for a strong finish.”
