What the brewers say

"A wild ale fermented and aged in neutral wine barrels."

What our panel thought

"Lemon and funk up front, with delicate herbal hop aroma, subtle bread-malt in support. Bright lemon-forward acidity, lightly tart, with a touch of white grape, hay, and must. Full body; layers of vanilla, salt, lemon; underlying Brett-forward funk. Finishes rather sharp, with an acidic punch."

What our editors thought

"Woody, hay-like nose offers a bit of wet mud; light floral note. The sip brings a soft, accessible acid profile—delightfully restrained—with notes of passion fruit, papaya, guava. Tropical, clean, bright, without the phenolic drag."
