What the brewers say

“Brewed with German malt and hops.”

What our panel thought

“Clean floral and herbal hop notes supported by hints of cracker and bread crust and a light sulfuric note. Dark brioche bread crust, caramel, butterscotch. Floral and perfume-like bitterness outshines more subtle malt notes, but it drinks clean and finishes crisp, despite the lightly elevated bitterness.”

What our editors thought

“American amber-ale malt nose with a bready middle note and very little lager fermentation character. A touch hefty on the palate with sweeter bready malt, but the stronger bitterness helps counter.”
