What the brewers say

“Mango and black pepper honey wine producing sweet and floral mango notes, followed by spicy black pepper and a spicy yeast character.”

What our panel thought

Aroma: “Light honey up front, light stone fruit esters, light citrus. Pear, some apple notes, light acidity, light black pepper, with a touch of light lavender floral, moderate vanilla, too.”

Flavor: "Mild honey flavor, light floral honey sweetness lingers, tart finish lingers, light carbonation. Peach, apricot, some ginger and vanilla. Peppery finish. Moderate acidity, lightly carbonated, moderate honey sweetness in the aftertaste.”

Overall: “Light body, tartness overpowers the floral honey notes. Easy to drink on a hot day. The peach/apricot flavors and aromas are very nice, especially with the black pepper finish but more honey would be nice.”
