Cascade Brewing Peche Fume

What the brewers say

Pêche Fumé is a blend of wheat ales brewed with cherrywood-smoked malt and aged in oak barrels for up to 14 months."

What our panel thought

"Black leather, some tobacco, and peaches form this sort of botanical-liqueur nose. Acidic and tart, some good flavors underneath, especially as it warms. Touch of leather, citrus, and some hops."

What our editors thought

"A mildly phenolic nose echoes a fruity scotch, while the taste is less smoke and more toasted or baked peach. The lower intensity of the peach adds a rich sophistication."
