What the brewers say

“Notes of chocolate, roast, caramel.”

What our panel thought

“Strong malt and roast character in both the aroma and flavor. Slight herbal/citrus hop component comes through on the nose. Dark chocolate with slightly burnt malt and moderate hop bitterness in the background. Pleasant dry, roasty finish slowly dissipates. Drinks slightly light, but flavor complexity is there, and it’s a tasty offering.”

What our editors thought

“Light woody hop aroma with a bit of dry grain and a touch of chocolate. Light in the sip, dry with a very refined and light bitterness. Cohesive in its understatement.”
