Twin Barns Brewing Company Open Road
What the brewers say
“Lager brewed with Maine-grown barley and corn.”
What our panel thought
“Quite crisp and dry, with dried corn and neutral grain malt, a fleeting hint of floral hops followed by low-to-moderate bitterness with notes of corn, hay, and earthy hop notes. Refreshing with lively carbonation. Finishes nice and crisp.”
What our editors thought
“Very pale straw color with white head. Light and fresh floral notes in the aroma with a soft bready underpinning and baking soda–like sparkle. Very, very light in the sip, with faintly sweet malt that hints at corn. Vaguely herbal bitterness is tucked right into the flavor with a sleek efficiency. It finds a magical balance that seems effortless, without any of the pieces standing out from the whole.”
