What the brewers say

A pomegranate and blueberry barrel-aged tart ale.

What our panel thought

Nuts, oak, and Minute Maid fruit-punch nose—berry cobbler-esque. Tangy, juicy, with a fun nutty-vanilla running through that gives an impression of sweetness. Great balance of acidity and sweetness. Finish is clean and refreshing with a slight creaminess. Easy to go back for more sips.

What our editors thought

Creamy berry-compote nose pulls you in, but the dry-ish sip and light tangy acidity keep any indulgent notes in check. Somewhat spartan, but the malt notes in the sip reinforce an appearance of sweetness that helps integrate the fruit. Thoughtfully balances acidity and fruit for a general drinkability that’s refreshing in the category.
