Baere Brewing Company Citrus Zested Gose
What the brewers say
“Gose with lemon, lime, and orange peel.”
What our panel thought
“A kind of a footy gym-sock nose. Earthy, spicy, the ginger and lime combine well over a grainy, sour base beer. A rustic finish with restrained hints of wild fermentation. A bit hard to parse, but rewarding in its complexity.”
What our editors thought
“Woody, oily citrus note in the nose, with a ginger-like spicy back-note that gives it depth to balance the overt pleasure. The soft carb pushes a slightly watery, tart citrus body that feels less taut than the aroma, but the layers of spice, grain, and fruit keep it interesting.”
