Barn Town Brewing Co. Stink Stank Stunk
What the brewers say
“Citra, Nelson Sauvin, Cryo Mosaic create sweet music, just like the Whos in Whoville. Huge, dank citrus aromas followed up with flavors of orange, sweet grapefruit.”
What our panel thought
“Bright and sunny from the first sip. Hefty hop aroma, with notes of bright orange, honey. Popping flavors of honey, tangerine, orange, peach held together by a soft, lightly grainy malt structure. Slight sweetness stays on the tongue. On and off the tongue quickly. Slight warming in the middle, but this is all balanced and executed quite well.”
What our editors thought
“Classic, West Coast–adjacent notes of citrus and forest in the aroma. Faint black tea notes offer a touch of herbal structure in the retronasal without overt bitterness or sharpness. An initial orange sweetness in the sip is immediately buffered by the light herbal notes and a bit of dank terpenes, as that tea character continues to linger on every exhale. Thoroughly layered with a picture that reveals itself only as the sip evolves.”
