Brewed with five different kinds of chocolate. Aged in bourbon barrels.
What our panel thought
The flavor is much sweeter than expected despite its noticeable alcoholic warmth. The chocolate notes be-come less semisweet/dark and become more cocoa powder and milk chocolate-like. The vanilla and caramel notes that are likely barrel-derived complement the chocolate and create a fairly pleasant mélange.
What our editors thought
Dark roast cacao nose dives deep into the chocolate pool. The sip is moderated by the vanilla and coconut bourbon character, but still pushes a hard cacao line to cut through the sweetish body.
