Birds Fly South Ale Project Czech-Style Pilsner

What the brewers say

A traditional Czech-style lager. Light bread notes leading into a bright dry finish.

What our panel thought

Subtle aroma—light sweetness, nuttier malt edges, zesty-floral hop notes. On the palate, a light and dusty bitterness, as light, clean, sweet malt pushes some floral-zesty hop flavor. Finishes clean and dry. Pleasant and bright hop character. Easy drinking. Slightly rustic.

What our editors thought

Lemon lime with a touch of orange zest on the nose. The sip brings some needed bitterness and carbonic zip, but that citrus lean is unshakeable and gives it the impression of sweetness.
