Black Rose Blending Co. All Roads Lead

What the brewers say

“A blended saison/wild ale partially aged in an aquavit barrel.”

What our panel thought

“Bright herbal aromatics, like the sweeter end of gin botanicals, with notes of mint and woodruff. Perfect entrée to the lemon-citrus flavors, while those herbal aromatics lend depth and support to the acidity. Tart, tangy, dry.”

What our editors thought

“Crisp, herbal nose with an amaro-like bouquet, high-key with an almost rooibos-tea character. Sweeter in the sip, with a bit of acetic acid lending a fruitiness to the herbal drive. Engaging and thoughtful.”

Two Roads Brewing Co H2Roads Black Cherry Craft Hard Seltzer

Light pink color, good clarity. Light cherry aroma is tough to pick up at first. In the flavor, the cherry is more front and center, with a nice bite from bright, prickly carbonation. Cherry flavor builds more with each sip. Soda-like. Refreshing drink.

Two Roads Brewing Co H2Roads Passion Fruit Hard Seltzer

“Passion-fruit aroma. Passion fruit and alcohol hit the tongue first, slightly tart and tangy. Low sweetness lets some brightness and a lot of passion fruit and tart citrus shine. Very clean, quick, dry, and pleasant finish.”

Pondaseta Brewing Co. Blended Family: 2019x

Aroma of pineapple, lemon, lemongrass, leather, oak-derived vanilla, and stone fruit; cereal-like sweetness dances in the background. In the flavor, strong acidity—lemon, pineapple, black tea, funky horse blanket, leather, and hay. Complex, interesting.
