What the brewers say

"Blend of ... barrel–aged imperial stouts finished on tons of coconut and Madagascar vanilla beans."

What our panel thought

"Slightly muted aroma—light coffee, ash, crème brûlée, coconut, vanilla. No obvious barrel. Sweet flavor, like semisweet chocolate torched with brown sugar crust. Notes of cherry, raspberry, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, molasses, coconut. Rich, thick, warming."

What our editors thought

"Precise, full-spectrum nose: high sweet vanilla, mid caramel-coconut, and bass dark malt. Stacked tiers of caramel, coconut, and vanilla create an intensely rich but rooted experience."
