What the brewers say

Aromas of toasted bread, notes of nutty dark chocolate with a dry herbal finish.

What our panel thought

Soft chocolate and coffee aroma. Good head with solid retention. Clean, solid toast, biscuit, light chocolate and coffee roast. Soft, even bittering adds a balancing back note, but throughout hops are restrained, adding a bit of spicy flavor. The finish turns nuttier. Excellent depth and great balance.

What our editors thought

A fragrant herbal nose with wood and toasted nuts leads to a sip that thoughtfully balances the hop character with subtle deep-toned malt without overpowering roast or sharper dark malt notes.
