Brown Truck Brewery Ghost Series: Barleywine Aged in Port Barrels

“Sweet toffee and tobacco with a pleasant tongue-coating sweetness. Slight hop bitterness tempers the malty sweetness and helps hold together the cherry medicinal sweet flavors that evolve into damp wood, sherry, and thick malt. Big sherry notes as it warms. A well-executed, malt-forward treat.”

Subdued dark-chocolate nose, light fresh-roast malt and low floral hops beneath; toffee note as it warms. Nice, round flavor, bitter and bittersweet, edged by soft espresso with light sugar; floral rose-petal-like hop note. Medium body, lively.

Belching Beaver Brewery Peanut Butter Milk Stout

“Strong peanut nose smells more like peanut flour, with a slight extract quality. The milk stout beneath is rich and full, supporting the adjuncts without being syrupy. Acidity and bitterness bring a nice crispness but detract from the flavors the aroma seems to promise.”

New Belgium Dominga Grapefruit
