What the brewers say

“Traditional Chai spices of cinnamon, green cardamom, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla blend seamlessly with Yeti’s rich, roasted malt backbone.”

What our panel thought

Aroma: “All of the chai spices with a touch of lemon citrus. Light chocolate, pepper, and lemongrass as it starts to warm with a touch of coffee spiciness.”

Flavor: “Spicy chocolate with complex roast astringency, bitter dark chocolate, light milk sweetness, and a touch of alcohol warming at the end. Light mushroom, coffee flavor in the middle of the sip that blends well with the chai spiciness. Well balanced alcohol warming toward the end of the sip that leads in the aftertaste. Finish is chocolate, coffee, and tea spiciness.”

Overall: “As enigmatic as the spectrum of chai is, you might hesitate to dive in to an unknown chai beer. This one is worth the risk.”
