What the brewers say

"Big milk stout brewed with oats, lactose, and love."

What our panel thought

"Delicate but rich, roasty, complex nose; notes of anise, chocolate. Candy-like sweetness shifts gradually toward malt-driven chocolate and vanilla. Runs gamut of bitter roast, rich sweet chocolate, hints of dried fruit. Pleasant, tongue-coating body. Round, velvety finish. Sweet, but with enough character to back it up."

What our editors thought

"Nose of dark toast and chocolate wafer offers dark Maillard richness along with some nuttiness. The sip edges the sweet line without tumbling over it, cranking up dark chocolate and mocha with a nutty umami richness."
