Copious Cryo powder in the dry hop offers an intense, oily aroma and flavor. Fruity esters from two yeast strains. Soft silky texture, light bitterness.

What our panel thought

Peach, orange, light papaya, and a little banana come together for a nice tropical mix. The flavor brings the citrus forward into a slightly oilier version, with a bit of coconut and cherry blended in. Mild alcoholic warmth and spice while the fruit cocktail lingers into the finish. Good malt sweetness in the main sip, but the finish is pleasantly dry.

What our editors thought

Sharp and intense with some hard-charging fruit diesel. The thick body offers a wide sure stance, but it es-chews slow sluggish heft for a yeast-and-hops bite that keep it moving.

Soft and unassuming nose with a chocolaty aroma with some ambiguous dark fruits—plum or dark cherry. Pleasant middle-of-the-road stout character with a somewhat earthy, saline note. Flavor is more of the same dark-fruit dominance with a dry, bitter finish. Good balance, medium-bodied with lingering chocolate sweet-ness and a roasted bitter finish.
