What the brewers say

German yeast and malt with 100 percent Saaz hops.

What our panel thought

Softly spicy, floral hop aroma with a grainy note. Flavor is crisp, dry, toasted, with a fairly aggressive bitterness and rye-like spiciness. At bit harsh at first, leaning bitter, but well supported and balanced. Yes, I would like another.

What our editors thought

Sweaty mineral nose with light tropical-fruit overtones comes out of left field; an aged-hops-like edge. The sip pushes an intense herbal-bitter wave with just a touch of sweetness, rolling unchecked to the lingering bitter finish. Atypical.
