What the brewers say

"Mixed-culture ale barrel-aged in red wine barrels for over two years and refermented on over 5.5 lb per gallon of fresh South Carolina peaches."

What our panel thought

"No carbonation. Light, balanced acidity in the aroma; light floral notes; some moderate wood and a whiskey-like spirit that becomes dominant as it warms. Moderate, balanced acid. Nice complexity; a hint of leathery funk, moderate pear, white grape esters. Light woody vanilla in finish. Clean, elegant."

What our editors thought

"Bright peach balances with fruity Brett fermentation character, offering an endearingly beery fruit beer. The flavor rides that Brett and peach balance through to the end—juicy, well-defined, funky, fun."
