Firestone Walker Brewing Co 805 Cerveza

What the brewers say

Cerveza is a premium lager with a touch of lime, making this a great-tasting beer. Crisp, clean, dry, and approachable.

What our panel thought

Brilliant pale straw, good foam. Moscow mule nose, with notes of corn, candied lime, ginger hint. Flavor is comparatively restrained—lightly sweet, lightly bitter, drying, with a refreshing zesty element. Sharp toasted-crust finish. Light bitterness and citrus linger. Bring another to my poolside deck chair.

What our editors thought

Slightly funky lime note on the nose highlights a brightness grounded with a woody undertone. The lime in the flavor is subtle and real—a small shock of citrus acidity that adds a gleam to the light malt. Direct and honed, it's a marked departure from the typical caricature of lager and lime.
