Funk Factory Geuzeria Fleur du Nord

What the brewers say

"Fluffy carbonation, light acidity, and enough honey sweetness to keep everything in balance."

What our panel thought

"Pleasant melon-like fruit; Brett funk undertones of petrichor, leather, barnyard, mushroom. Tart, but not overwhelmingly puckering. Hints of light fruit add balance. Malt is light and crackery. Crisp and lively."

What our editors thought

"Orange blossoms, dry hay, honey on toast. The sip is soft, with a captivating, light citrus acidity. Brief burst of Tang quickly dries into a lingering tangerine-honey note."

Funk Factory Geuzeria Foeder Saison: Vintage Hallertau

Fascinating aroma: juicy white grape, drier red wine, phenolic spice, cellar-floor funk. Flavor joins light bread and stone fruit with funk and spice. Moderate acidity draws the juicy impression over light, dusty bitterness. Dry, delicate, funky, complex—a wallflower with a lot to say.

Wolf's Ridge Brewing Terre du Sauvage Blue

Aroma is woody, herbal, and a touch medicinal. Intense and weird. Even weirder—it’s not off-putting. Sweet-tangy balance, lemony, with a bitterish, cooling, leafy-minty stripe running through the flavor. Just off dry, with lingering tang and cool menthol. Damned interesting and pretty drinkable.

Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales Yikes!

Stone-fruit aromatics of peach and apricot mingle with subtle barnyard, leather, hay. Crackery malt, citrus. Bright acidity accentuates the fruit notes, tempering the Brett funk. A white-wine-like dryness on the finish.
