Calusa Brewing Foederhead

What the brewers say

"Foeder-fermented mixed-culture wild ale, with light funk and oak."

What our panel thought

"Meringue-whip head, brilliant clarity. Complex chardonnay notes, low pineapple, herbs, bright lemon rind, subtle strawberry. Restrained, balanced funk. Very light body and acidity. Stronger strawberry and lighter lemon than in aroma. Lively but not prickly. Not overly complex, restrained Brett. Highly drinkable."

What our editors thought

"More Brett pale than wild ale. Crisp linen on the nose, light woody Brett bitterness, and minor tartness."

Uhl’s Brewing Co Raspricot Shleemies

“Deep pink pour. Brilliant citrus-hop nose with a soft honey note. Full body, with citrus-tropical hop juice shining all the way with a raspberry touch. Intriguing blend of hops and fruit. Pleasant acidity.”

Jester King Brewery 2019 SPON Three Year

Peach, apricot, light vanilla, pineapple, light Brett horse blanket, touches of earth and dust. Medium acidity, light oak in aroma and flavor, sour-musty balance.

Uhl’s Brewing Co Blackberry * Peach Fruit Compote

“Red-orange, opaque smoothie. Fruity, creamy nose with strong vanilla, evoking beach cocktails or coconut-peach pie. Flavors of tropical fruit, peach, blackberry, coconut, vanilla. Restrained sourness. Round finish. Vanilla flirts with ‘artificial.’ Noticeable warming alcohol—Malibu rum.”
