TRVE Brewing Co. Halfway There

What the brewers say

"Mixed-culture blend, dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria, brewed in collaboration with Threes Brewing in Brooklyn, New York."

What our panel thought

"Rows of complex fruit esters, led by peach and tangerine; light citrus, wet hay, orange rinds, and Grandma’s cellar (she kept it clean). Spritzy mouthfeel; pleasant lemon acidity atop notes of lime, black pepper, light Brett funk. Crisp and pleasing; nice dry finish that begs for another sip."

What our editors thought

"Soft, woody Brett notes support a strong floral and white-peach burst. Only mildly tart on the sip, allowing floral hops notes to push forward, with only a bit of bright acidity behind it."

Halfway Crooks Beer Zero Cool

“Bright lemon, candied lemon, rosemary notes in the aroma. Smooth, crisp flavor, with lemon zest and lemon flesh dominating a low bread backbone. Rosemary notes show up later and linger into a lemony herbal finish.”

Arizona Wilderness Brewing Puffy w/ Passion Fruit

“Captures the essence of dragon fruit with a pleasant soft cider-like tartness to balance, providing fruitiness, subtle spice, and earth notes. And there’s a distinctive beer character with a lightly toasted malt backbone.”

Cerebral Brewing Single Barrel: 45

Fresh citrus-forward hops jump out of the glass, atop berries, pineapple, black pepper, lime, lemon. Tropical hops complement complex esters. Light, soft body with layers of salinity, lemon, light bread, lingering funk. Softly tart, with soft waves of fruit; low malt sweetness brings out overripe pineapple; lingering tropical fruit in aftertaste. Low white-wine character in background. Very refreshing. Well-balanced, with medium fermentation complexity and delicate contributions from barrel aging. Would be a nice post workout/activity beer with character.
