Cape May Brewing Follow the Gull

What the brewers say

Brewed with a ridiculous amount of Citra, El Dorado, Azacca, and Amarillo hops, yielding a juicy and ultra-drinkable hops-bomb bursting with tropical and citrus aromas.

What our panel thought

Resinous pine aroma offers little flashes of peach, mango, and a hint of floral gardenia. The flavor is asser-tively piney and bitter, close to the edge of harshness. The dry finish doesn’t offer much to soften it. It’s with-in scope of an American IPA, but a couple fewer IBUs would be nice. Very hazy.

What our editors thought

Overripe mango and papaya offer an alluring tropical nose, but a strong yet soft initial bitterness quickly shifts gears. A hazy IPA for those not afraid of bitterness.
