Fonta Flora Brewery Yuns Changed

What the brewers say

“Unfiltered double IPA dry hopped with Citra, Nelson Sauvin, and Sabro Cryo.”

What our panel thought

“Initial sharp aroma fades relatively quickly, allowing subtle pine, tropical citrus, coconut, and light woody note to emerge. On the sip, malty sweetness and softness are quickly tempered by soft, pleasant bitterness, allowing flavors of coconut, banana, mango, pine, and earthy wood.”

What our editors thought

“Soft, herbal, sweet lemon and orange on the nose; light honey twang. In the sip, sweet malt, rounded by a soft profile and chalky buffer, screening the sweetness with powdery softness.”

Fonta Flora Brewery At Whipoorwill Farm Unusual Frequency [Track 4]

“Orange creamsicle nose. Layers of vanilla, orange, apricot, pineapple, plum in the flavor. Malt and hops support each other. On the finish, flavors meld into a cohesive unit with enough bitterness to clear the path.”

Fonta Flora Brewery Well, I'll Be!

“Thick appearance with a rich layer of protein foam. A decent amount of bitterness, but lighter somewhat on aroma to accompany it. Some green, dank notes cover an orangey citrus character. Fruity citrus nose with a hop-pellet resemblance. Mouthfeel has no burn. Bitterness is soft and quite approachable.”

Fonta Flora Brewery Carolina Custard

Medium tropical fruit-banana aroma. Notes of lime, coconut, kiwi. Mild baked-biscuit notes as it warms. Sharp tartness in the flavor intensifies the fruit character. Hints of coconut and lime. Finish is puckering with a long-lasting sour twang. Fruit expression is definitely the star of the show. Tartness needs to be cranked down.
