Great Divide Brewing Hazy IPA

What the brewers say

"A juicy and balanced mix of citrus hops that bring out the aromatic characteristics of papaya and mango and finishes with a hint of ripe strawberries."

What our panel thought

"Smells like freshly picked hops, a mélange of dankness, grapefruit, passion fruit, pine. Solid malt backbone balanced with smooth bitterness. Hop flavors dominate: pineapple, pine resin, diesel. West Coast flavor in a hazy IPA. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel. Pleasantly bitter, not harsh or astringent."

What our editors thought

"Vivid fresh-cut grass on the nose. Sip rides a classic orange-pine line, with significant bitterness. Old-school IPA palate meets new-school techniques."

Great Divide Brewing Co Hazy IPA

“Tropical and citrus notes of pineapple, orange, and guava in the aroma blend with some lightly earthy and floral notes. The earthy and floral notes come to the fore in the sip, and they are accentuated by a lightly chalky note in the mouthfeel that creates a drying bitterness that lingers into the finish.”

Prison City Brewing Riot Down Undah

“Round, strong citrus-hop aromas with stone-fruit notes. Textured retronasal. Ripe fresh orange, apricot with notes of pineapple on the palate. Pleasant bitterness on the finish cuts through the sweetness. Enjoyable.”

Standard Brewing OK Fine

Decidedly citrus-forward aromas and flavors of orange peel, lemon, and tangerine with some earthy and piney aspects hiding the background. The soft mouthfeel accentuates the pleasant and sweeter hops notes for an approachability for the bitter-beer hater. The finish is bitter but not harsh or astringent and has a curious citrus tang to it.
