What the brewers say

Built with local ingredients. A malty sweet and lightly hoppy amber lager.

What our panel thought

The nose presents a blend of Malt-o-Meal, lightly baked bread, and spruce-tinged herbal hops. The flavor pulls back a little to the same hops but a light, simple toasty malt with a hint of caramel sweetness. Finish is mostly dry, with lingering bitterness. Simple but easy-sipping.

What our editors thought

Green grape, berries, and a light vegetal note throw the nose off course, but deeper burnt caramel notes try to re-center. The sip brings more fruitiness with spicy berry and an almost cocoa-nib earthy sweetness.
