What the brewers say

“A double-decoction mash heightens rich malt flavors and aromas of bread dough, crust, and light sweetness balanced by a soft bitterness and just a touch of sulfur.”

What our panel thought

“Complex, inviting aroma: floral, spicy, Noble hops—lemon, lime, soap—and lingering dough. Clean, cracker-like, malt-forward flavor; noticeable floral-spicy hops—lemongrass, light green pepper. Well carbed. Fairly bitter, balanced in the finish. A bigger punch of malt would provide more complexity. Crisp, creating a desire to go back for more.”

What our editors thought

“Soft wildflower-honey notes on the nose; Concord-grape note fading in and out. Flavor is light malt with fleeting bitterness. Finishes warm and embracing.”
