What the brewers say

“Gose-style ale brewed with sea salt, coriander, lactose, and aged on raspberries.”

What our panel thought

“Tart raspberry jam meets saline sparkling water. Acidity sticks to the sides of my mouth, hanging on for dear life. Lactose is subtle, rounding out the mouthfeel and what otherwise might be an overly aggressive acidity. Can easily polish a pint.”

What our editors thought

“Rich, creamy raspberry on the nose doesn’t lose the script. The sip balances sweet and tannic berry notes, never giving in to abject smoothie sweetness, but avoiding the hollowed-out character of full refermented raspberry beers.”
