What the brewers say

"Roasty and deep ... providing swirling intense flavors of coffee, chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla."

What our panel thought

"Milk-and-cookies vibe—dark chocolate, vanilla, cherry—and a hint of banana give a banana-split impression. Barrel-forward without being over the top. Flavor is sweet up front—bittersweet chocolate—fading into moderate, acrid roast bitterness and alcohol warmth. Nice and warming overall."

What our editors thought

"Coffee-chocolate nose and a whiff of decomposing leaves. The sip is brighter—a slightly sweet highlight fades into cocoa powder and drip coffee. Rides the line between pedestrian and accessible."
