What the brewers say

Méthode Traditionelle spontaneous coolship beer with Oblacinska cherries.

What our panel thought

Dark garnet/ruby. Amazing deep, solid, cherry-pie and cinnamon-spice aroma—pie in a glass, pie-crust notes and all. Very dark and rich cherry character in the flavor. Some assertive acidity with some cheesy funk. Finishes dry and puckering, with a fresh cherry lingering.

What our editors thought

Visually stunning rich, deep red color. The nose tells a kriek-like story, with almond notes alongside tart and sweet cherry, backed by just a touch of cheesy funk. The sip is just a bit thin on the malt side, but tart dark-cherry notes envelop the palate. Not as richly textured as some but satisfying.
