Our Mutual Friend Brewing The Fizz

What the brewers say

100 percent Colorado-ingredient keller-pils.

What our panel thought

Extremely floral and herbal hops come through then evaporate, for a nice nose that finishes with light baked bread. Hints of raw grain and green apple in the flavor, but nailing the drinkable light lager character. Crisp, light, refreshing. Lemony on the tongue that ends with a nice clean finish. Checks all the boxes.

What our editors thought

Nose is almost saison-like, with sharp linen notes and soft tropical-fruit undertones. In the sip, tea-like hops notes push the herbal script with a touch of tropical-fruit sweetness beneath. The pilsner association is tenuous, but it's enjoyable.

REVIEWS FOR YOU >

New Belgium Fruit Smash Pineapple Punch

“A blast of citrus bubblegum smacks your nostrils. Vibrant tropical fruit punch flows through the mouth like a waterslide bouncing back and forth. Explosive pineapple and dry-hop notes round things out with a balanced sweetness. Drinkable and bold.”

New Belgium Fruit Smash Pink Lemonade

“Bursting, approachable fresh watermelon, lemon, berry aromatics. Flavor falls short of the bold aromatics. Tart citrus notes overpower any fruity sweetness in the flavor, creating a snappy bite to the finish but stripping away any subtle mid-palate sweetness.”

Pontoon Brewing Company Franken Smiggles

“Strawberry-flavored kefir nose with a touch of lemon. Incredibly sweet, decadent, candy-like fruit. Strawberry, marshmallow, limeade—soft and delicious.”
