Ozark Beer Company Early Train

What the brewers say

“Barrel-aged golden ale with Brett.

What our panel thought

“Funky and complex nose with hints of peach, vanilla, leather, lemon, and wet hay. Classic Brett cherry pits, leather, and funk lead into a full-bodied sweet white-wine finish. Low acidity.”

What our editors thought

“Light peach skin is understated in the nose. In the sip, subtle notes of white peach, chamomile tea, and pinot grigio, but with a very, very light acidity.”

Springdale Beer Co. Melange De Mures

Amber with ruby highlight. Hazy. Good head. Very light seedy raspberry/blackberry and carbonic note in the aroma and a bit of a chalky/mineral character. Berry represented well in the flavor. Finish is dry and puckering. Overall fruity and drinkable, but not that exciting.

Fifty West Brewing Co. Everything All At Once...

Fantastic strawberry in aroma, peach notes, extremely fruity; woody Brett notes. Kiwi sourness is a bit overpowering, with some used hay, wet cellar, enteric notes intruding. A tale of two fruits: strawberry is bright, kiwi harsh, tart, overpowering.

Ozark Beer Company BDCS 2021

“Massive coconut and milk chocolate nose; hints of coffee, vanilla, and peanut. Sweet, but with enough dark-chocolate character to rein it in. Finish is thick, creamy, and decadent.”
