What the brewers say

“Tasting notes of passion fruit, papaya, pithy blood orange.”

What our panel thought

“Pretty mild for an IPA, but the lemon hops are quite pleasant in both the flavor and the aroma. There’s also a spicy floral undercurrent that provides a shimmer of complexity. The lemon drop finish sets up your next sip.”

What our editors thought

“Spicy floral note punches through the general tropical aroma with a funky mineral undertone. Woody and herbal hop notes in the flavor balance the orange and tangerine with more spice than bitterness.”

Parish Brewing Dr. Juice

Welch’s Grape on the nose. More tropical as it opens: grapefruit, lemon, papaya, pineapple, pine. After aroma, flavors relatively muted. Lush juiciness—lemon, grapefruit, grape-must, balanced with earth and pine. Medium-light body. Would liven up a summer afternoon.

Parish Brewing Company SIPS Sauvignon Blanc Passion Fruit

“Sweet pineapple and passion fruit in the nose, followed by flavors of mango, passion fruit, guava. Sweet, but not cloying, with a consistent dark berry flavor throughout. The sauvignon blanc is just enough to add a fun complexity.”

Parish Brewing Company DDH Ghost in the Machine

“Lavish, layered hop aroma—orange, Meyer lemon, touches of guava. Flavor isn’t bitter, but there are tinges of alcohol and hop burn. A dank note goes well with the lemon-lemongrass finish. A touch Sprite-y and sweet; could be softer and easier to approach.”
