Brick West Brewing Co. Brick West Pilsner

What the brewers say

“Showcases the finest German malt and hops, creating clean and bready malt flavors.”

What our panel thought

“Crisp, herbal, citrusy Noble hops draw one in with excitement. Medium bitterness, day-old tea bag (on the pleasant side) hop character, clean fermentation.”

What our editors thought

“Soft yet edgy floral nose; big without overwhelming. The sip balances floral notes with mellow bitterness, overpowering the malt but leaving a crisp finish. Jagged but characterful.”

Brick West Brewing Company Brick West Czech Pilsener

Wonderful hop-driven nose, soft and herbal, with sweet malt notes. Moderate herbal bitterness, delicate, with an almost tea-like tannin. Bitter and crisp into a moderately dry finish. That bitterness builds, slightly resinous but not harsh. Nicely done. I'd neck it from the bottle.

Foothills Brewing Torch Pilsner

A wonderful balance of spicy Saaz hops and Pilsner malt. Crisp and refreshing yet not superlight bodied. Just the right amount of hops bitterness and spice plays great with a tasty Pilsner malt backbone. A little on the sweeter side for a Pilsner, but definitely not too sweet. Overall very crushable.

Brick West Brewing Buffalo Coat

Burnt-coffee aroma, dark-roasted malt, dark chocolate, dried dark fruit, alcohol. Assertive bitterness and heavy roast cut the medium-sweet finish. Thick mouthfeel. Alcohol present, not hot. Strong lingering bitterness, but drinkable.
