Revelry Brewing Co. Ramblin’ Rubus

What the brewers say

"Bottle-conditioned, spontaneously fermented wild ale aged on French oak with raspberries."

What our panel thought

"Subtle barnyard aromas of leather, hay, and horse blanket hide behind distinct raspberry, cherry, and blackberry fruit notes. There is nothing sweet left in this guy. Fruit shines through subtle funk, some low oak character. Assertive tartness. Murky."

What our editors thought

"Sharp raspberry note on the nose suggests a strong acidity, and the beer delivers on that bright and pointed expectation. A hazy body softens the intensity just a touch."

Speciation Artisan Ales Laurentian: Lake Michigan

Beautiful color and clarity. Notes of red apple, pear, vanilla, oak. Lemon verbena and straw carry into the flavor. Medium-acid, mid-palate sweetness, and very dry finish. Low funk with light pineapple and a lingering lactic bite.

Good Word Brewing & Public House Gran Gran

“Hints of apple peel and blackberry vodka in the aroma. Pie comes through nicely in the flavor. Balance is more toward the sour and tart, but it still works.”

Smog City Brewing White Peach Saison

Fresh peaches, peach skin, raw pie crust in the aroma; a country kitchen in full swing. Low, pleasant acidity, hitting Brett notes as fresh, juicy peach carries through. Restrained acidity, dry and pleasant finish. Approachable for any level of beer drinker.
